SRC 100: The Country Bears (2002)
It's our 100th flush! When your theme park show adaptation resembles more of a wild kingdom BEHIND THE MUSIC special than it does an entertaining family film, you know you've bear hugged your way into the Restroom...
THE COUNTRY BEARS deals with a young muppet cub (Haley Joel Osment) who leaves his adopted family to search for a legendary bear band that broke up in the early 90's. What follows are 89 minutes of lame songs by John Hiatt sung by a group of oversized animatronics and cameos by musical artists who'd rather be doing anything else than talking to a group of musical bears. The beloved Disney theme park show this is not.
You can find this bear dung available for streaming on Amazon, VUDU, and YouTube, but as always, you're better off leaving the bear scratching to us and finding some other cinematic honey pot to dip your paws into.
Joining us as part of our extended co-cinematic flushing team for our 100th flush are social media manager Steph Wanamaker, and the hosts of the Steel Cage Radio podcast, Degenerate John and Dee Dee.
Sit back now and give a listen as Griffin, Crest, & Knight flush you down the Cinematic Bowl with, THE COUNTRY BEARS...
