SRC 118: Drive Hard (2014)

When your action/comedy plays more like and endless monologue from a regional theater production than in does a thrill-a-minute chase film, you know you've downshifted your way into the Restroom...

DRIVE HARD deals with a thief (paycheck cashing John Cusack) who kidnaps a former race car driver (paycheck cashing Thomas Jane), to assist with a bank robbery.  Both men then drive across half the Australian landscape talking endlessly while assorted stock villain and cop characters are hot on their trail. You're gonna have to look HARD for anything resembling a decent action scene.



This slow drive on Sunday mess is available for streaming on Netflix, VUDU, and YouTube, but as always, you're better off leaving this cinematic skid mark to us and finding some other action flick with the word DRIVE in it.
